Glasgow boy, 4, mauled by dog in Duntocher and left with serious injuries

A young child has sustained serious injuries after being mauled by a dog in Duntocher.

The horrifying incident took place in the Craiglea Road area on Saturday evening (April 2).

Police were called to the scene after receiving a report of a four-year-old boy sustaining injuries following an incident with a dog.

Officers say that the child sustained 'serious but not life-threatening' injuries.

Police have confirmed that enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the attack are ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “On the evening of Saturday, 2 April, officers received a report of a 4-year-old boy sustaining serious, but not life-threatening injuries, following an incident with a dog in the Craiglea Road area of Duntocher, Clydebank.

"We can confirm enquiries are ongoing.”
