Glasgow beer garden brawl filmed by shocked onlookers

A huge brawl broke out at a Glasgow beer garden yesterday after pubs opened for the first time in months yesterday.

Footage circulating on social media shows the fight breaking out in Cathcart, and shows more than a dozen people involved in the incident, with some being wrestled to the ground. Other people can be heard shouting in the background while the fight occurred.

It came as pubs across the country opened their beer gardens for the first time since March as Scotland continues to see lockdown measures being eased. Glaswegians flocked to beer gardens to have their first pint in months.

However, strict rules are still in place to ensure physical distancing is still maintained by customers and staff members in social spaces.

Indoor seating areas will continue to remain closed until at least July 15 when the Scottish Government hopes to move into phase three of its lockdown easing plan.
