Glasgow Batgirl filming to close George Square and more city centre streets

Filming for Batgirl is underway in Glasgow city centre, with camera crews spotted shooting scenes on St Vincent Street last night (January 12).

Preparations are well underway for filming to take place at Glasgow Cross and the Trongate, with streets in both areas transformed to look like a snowy Gotham City for the HBO Max flick - complete with fake shop fronts, signage, billboards and graffiti.

Now Glasgow City Council have confirmed more areas of the city which will be turned over for filming - with various streets to close off to traffic as a result.

The closure includes part of George Square, which also hosted the Hollywood cameras when film crews descended on the city to shoot scenes for The Flash and World War Z.
