Glasgow-based M&D Green Group has made its first acquisition on the east coast after buying Eskside Pharmacy in Musselburgh.
It takes the group’s estate in Scotland to 24 shops, the fest of which are across Glasgow, Renfrewshire, Inverclyde, Lanarkshire and North Ayrshire.
The deal was done using seven-figure funding from HSBC UK, which also backed the purchase of five pharmacy units from Thomas McLean & Son in 2018.
All staff in Musselburgh will be kept on and a new, full-time delivery driver will be hired. M&D Green will refurbish and rebrand the East Lothian store from September.
