A handful of pubs in Glasgow with beer gardens have confirmed they will soon be taking advance bookings for when they get the green light to reopen.
Phase two of the Scottish Government's road map out of lockdown allows for pubs and restaurants to open outdoor spaces with physical distancing and increased hygiene routines.
And with the next lockdown review expected this Thursday (June 18), it is hoped that pubs with beer gardens may be able to open some time this month.
Among those implementing an advance outdoor table booking service are West Brewery, The Locale at Charing Cross and Cottiers in the west end of the city.
West Brewery tweeted: "Glasgow, please keep your fingers crossed that we are able to open our beer garden this week.
"When we get the go ahead, advance table booking will be essential in order to have a table in the beer garden and there will be restrictions and measures in place to help keep everyone safe."
Meanwhile The Locale confirmed plans to do the same, posting on the pub's Facebook page that bookings will soon be taken for the beer garden out back.
Cottiers has also followed suit this afternoon, confirming via Facebook that they are "aiming for the first weekend in July" to reopen their beer garden - and will be launching a booking system in the coming weeks for people to pre-book a table.
The jury is out on whether other pubs across Glasgow will do the same, and require a booking for outdoor seating - but it does provide an insight into possible measures many establishments will take to stay open while maintaining social distancing.
