A Glasgow magazine shop located in the famous Barras market has been named one of the best in the UK by a luxury travel publication.
Suitcase Magazine has recently published an article on 'seven independent magazine stores to visit in the UK', featuring shops in the likes of London, Leeds, Sheffield and Bath.
And the only Scottish store to get a shout-out is one of our city's very own, Ripe Mags, thanks to its 'utterly contagious energetic spirit'.

Suitcase say of the much-loved mag store: "Those who love to shop secondhand will be familiar with Glasgow's Barras Market - a weekend affair that knows how to deliver on the vintage goods front.
"Back in 2019, Ripe Mags set up shop slap bang in its centre, after founder Linda McIntosh fell head over heels for Paris' legendary flea markets.
"Gritty and grungy, shabby yet chic, the shop's olive-green facade and matte-black sliding doors are the epitome of what we'd expect a good indie mag operation to look like.
"While this place might not have the most expansive range, its energetic spirit is utterly contagious."
