Glasgow Barbers create adorable Home Alone-inspired charity advert

It's a controversial topic every Christmas : what is the best festive film ever made?

There are plenty of contenders - golden oldies like It's A Wonderful Life, romcom royalty like Love Actually, or family-friendly picks like Elf or The Grinch.

But no list is complete without including the absolute classic Home Alone, starring a painfully cute Macaulay Culkin as Kevin McAllister.

Glasgow barber CODE seems to agree, having created an adorable charity advert imitating some of the best moments in the film.

It begins with a festive scene within CODE's shop as a little boy happily runs around. When the 'family' leaves, and he is left home alone, all sorts of hijinks occur, as he foils would-be robbers and even gives himself a close shave (literally).

And of course, the video is accompanied by some of the best songs on the Home Alone soundtrack, including Somewhere In My Memory and Run Rudolph Run.

The advert is all for a very good cause, with the barber helping to provide Christmas presents for pupils at St Denis’ Primary in Dennistoun and Eastbank Primary in Shettleston.

Sharing the video on Facebook, they said: "This year has once again been a very difficult one for many, we at “CODE” have decided to continue with our Christmas tradition and give back to our local community and will this year help out some of the families who need a little extra help with some Christmas gifts for pupils of St Denis’ Primary in Dennistoun and Eastbank Primary in Shettleston.

"With the help from our amazing staff and clients we hope to ensure these kids have a great Christmas. If you would like to help and buy a small gift please DM us and we will provide you with a bauble that the kids have made for our tree."
