A popular Glasgow bar is set to hand out free shots on arrival to Glaswegians as a special national day approaches.
Mezcal, located on Hope Street, announced the plans on Instagram in a bid to celebrate National Tequila Day.
Fans of the alcoholic sprit will be able to celebrate the dedicated day on July 24 whilst tucking into the restaurant's much-loved tacos, quesadillas and of course, their famous frozen cocktails.

Taking to Instagram they wrote: "Join us at MEZCAL on 24th July to celebrate #nationaltequiladay.

The popular street food restaurant, named after the Mexican alcohol made from Agave, opened its doors to the public back in September 2019 and has gained a loyal following in Glasgow's food scene, catering to vegetarians as well as those needing to stick to a gluten-free diet.
Famous for their live DJ events among many other things, those leaving review on TripAdvisor have rated the eatery four and a half stars out of five with the majority leaving an 'excellent' review placing them at 430 out of 1,714 restaurants across Glasgow.
On National Tequila Day, Sunday July 24, Mezcal opens at 12pm and closes at midnight.
