A bar is offering free face masks with every bottle of Corona beer it sells – to boost sales of the brew after the outbreak of the coronavirus.
Glasgow city centre bar Oswald’s began offering the face masks to customers on Saturday and claim they’ve sold more Corona beer than anything else since their offer.
Bar owner Brian Matthews said: “Giving them away with Corona is a bit tongue in cheek but we wanted to give customers the opportunity of having a mask just in case.
"We bought 500 and sold about 300 Coronas over the weekend.”
Pub regular Marcus Porter, 24, from Govan, said: “I’ve never seen Corona being bought so much in the one bar.”
