Glasgow B&Q store closes for deep clean after staff member tests positive for coronavirus

A Glasgow B&Q store has undergone a deep clean after a staff member tested positive for coronavirus.

The deep clean took place at the store at Great Western Retail Park in the Drumchapel area on Thursday following news of the positive test.

A spokesperson for B&Q said it was carried out as a precautionary measure.

The store has since reopened to the public.

A B&Q spokesperson told Glasgow Live: “We can confirm that since Thursday, one colleague from our Glasgow Great Western Road store has received a positive (Covid 19) test result.

"As a precautionary measure that goes beyond Government advice, the store was deep cleaned. The store has since reopened."
