Glasgow B&M store to reduce all items by 50% in closing down sale

A B&M branch in Glasgow is slashing the price of all of its products by 50% as part of a closing down sale.

The Helen Street unit, which is based in the Govan area of the city, is due to shut up shop for the final time at the end of this month.

And it is looking to get rid of all its remaining stock ahead of its move to a larger branch at the former Toys R Us building next to Asda supermarket down the road next month.

The budget retailer already cut the price of all items by 25%, but it has now doubled that as stock gets closer to running out entirely.

Customers reportedly queued outside the branch for more than hour after news emerged of the incredible discount.

It is expected to be much of the same ahead of the eventual move out of the store in the coming days.

The new branch, which is said to be a huge 29,600 square feet in size, will become the largest in Glasgow when it opens on April 15.

Aldi will reportedly move into the building left by B&M on Helen Street.

A spokesperson for B&M said: “We’re feeling really positive about the creation of jobs for local people during these challenging times and we hope customers are going to be delighted with their new store.

“We are really excited to get the doors open and welcome our new customers through the door in April.”
