Glasgow Airport strike action halted

Glasgow Airport's industrial dispute is over with no further strike action.

The airport confirmed the industrial dispute has been resolved which will be a relief for anxious holiday-makers who faced massive delays and disruption to their summer breaks.

A spokesperson for Glasgow Airport said: “We welcome the outcome of the consultative ballot which has seen staff vote to accept the company’s offer and bring the dispute to an end.”

Meanwhile, Unite released a statement advising an end to the dispute, confirming: "Unite can confirm today that following a consultative ballot of Unite members at Glasgow Airport its membership have voted to accept the revised offer put to them by management.

“This now ends the dispute at Glasgow Airport.”
