Glasgow Airport's Wetherspoons bar to close for months for refurbishment

The Wetherspoons bar in Glasgow Airport is to be closed 'for a number of months' while it is refurbished, airport staff have confirmed.

The Sanderling Bar, which is located after security, airside within the airport, is a popular spot for Glaswegian holidaymakers to have a drink before getting on their flights.

The Airport say the renovation of the bar will form part of 'exciting new changes' in the terminal.

The bar is due to close on Monday (October 21)

A statement said: "Exciting new changes are coming to the terminal.

"JD Wetherspoon - 'The Sanderling Bar' will be undergoing refurbishment from Monday the 21st of October and will be closed for a number of months while renovations take place."

Another Wetherspoons bar, 'The Sandpiper', which is found before security, will remain open as normal.
