Glasgow Airport: Police remain on scene as flights return to normal following ‘security’ incident

Flights are returning to normal at Glasgow Airport after a security incident suspended all planes in and out earlier this morning.

Emergency services were called to the terminal around 10.25am and police remain on the scene.

A spokeswoman said: “Police were made aware of a security incident reported by the crew on board a flight at Glasgow Airport. Officers and other emergency services are in attendance.”

A Glasgow Airport spokesperson confirmed that flights are returning to normal as of 11.30am, tweeting: : “Operations were temporarily suspended due to an incident declared on an inbound flight. Emergency services attended and operations are now returning to normal.”
