Glasgow Airport evacuated after fire alarm alert

Passengers were evacuated from Glasgow Airport after a fire alarm was set off in the terminal building.

Fire Crews raced to the Renfrewshire transport hub at around 11.30am today.

A spokesman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: "We were called to the airport but it was a false alarm."

A spokesman from Glasgow Airport said it was a false alarm which went off at around 11.30am.

It's not known what caused the false alarm.
