Glasgow Airport Emirates A380: watch footage from inside iconic jet as it lands

The wait is finally over.

Glasgow Airport has made history along with Emirates after introducing the world’s largest commercial passenger aircraft on a schedule for the first time.

Thousands of people were on the ground to watch as the iconic A380 aircraft touched down on Scottish soil at 7.45pm tonight (Tuesday).

It's been added to the airline’s hugely-popular Dubai service, and it's safe to say its arrival has been much anticipated here in Glasgow!

Free parking was allowed in the long stay car park to ensure all enthusiasts got a glimpse of the spectacle.

And they turned out in their droves, with people lining surrounding streets to get their view.

Airbus A380 makes Scottish aviation history as it arrives in Glasgow

But don't worry if you missed the arrival of the EK025 flight, as there is another chance to spot it when the EK026 service departs at 9.30pm.
