A glamping site plans to transform a patch of waste ground in Cardiff.
A planning application has been submitted for six glamping pods and a farm shop on land in Pentyrch .
Tynewydd Farm & Livery want to transform the derelict patch of land into a holiday destination.
The applicants said they hope Garth Meadows will become a "well-respected, sustainable rural enterprise".
Six pet-friendly glamping pods and a farm shop would be built on the land near the Taffs Well train station.
The pods can fit couples and small families, and include an ensuite and a kitchenette.
The farm said: "The business model will offer a wide spectrum of guests the opportunity to sample one of Cardiff’s most undiscovered areas for outdoor activities, a peaceful stay and support the need for pet-friendly accommodation, which is currently not available in the near vicinity.
"The units will provide high quality, year-round, eco-holiday accommodation in a rural setting that boasts direct public transport links and cycle paths into Cardiff City centre.
"Holiday makers and the local community would further benefit from the convenience of a farm shop, which would operate from a professionally converted shipping container that would be used as the check in desk."
The wooden pods have 18sq metres of space and stand around 3m tall.
Previous planning applications for land around the site, for a stable block and for a barn, have been refused.
The St Peter's Missions Church stood on the land until 1938, and after the church was removed the site was abandoned and has been derelict ever since.
Cardiff Council received the plans on December 19 and have yet to go before the planning committee.
