Afrohemian, Funhaus and Neodeco homes
Afrohemian: Searches for "afrobohemian home decor" increased 220% from September 2024 to August 2025.
- This could include textiles, wall art, baskets and natural fiber rugs.
Funhaus: Boomers and millennials will prompt a rise in circus-inspired home decor.
- "Vintage circus aesthetic" has seen a 70% rise in interest, "circus nursery" was up 50% and "circus interior" rose 130%.
Neodeco: Art deco is modernizing. The retro vibe is getting shiny, sleek twists.
- Searches for pendant lamps, antique bar carts, brass aesthetic and leather banquette point to this trend, per Pinterest.
Brooches, lace and the it colors
Lace: Lace is predicted to have a boom in beauty and fashion.
- Search interest on lace nails is up 215%, lace bandanas up 150%, lace doily 105% and lace makeup 120%.
- "The doily makes its big debut in 2026" Pinterest's report said.
Brooches: Boomer and millennial men are expected to drive a surge in interest in brooches. Beyond lapels, they might be worn on sleeves, ties or socks.
- "It's part homage, part reinvention," the report said. "If your grandma wouldn't wear it, is it even the vibe?"
Behind the scenes: Signature colors next year will be cool blue and khaki.
- Gen Z and millennials are also driving a surge in interest in opalescence.
Glamour
Opulence will influence fashion, beauty and celebrations in 2026. Several related searches increased significantly:
- "80s luxury" up 225%.
- "Midnight masquerade" up 95%.
- "Dark romantic makeup" up 160%.
- "Eccentric makeup" up 100%.
- "Avant garde makeup editorial" up 270%.
- "Niche perfume collection" up 500%.
- "Alien inspired makeup" up 140%.
Writing and looking like a writer
Hobbying is going offline with a "letter writing renaissance" next year, per Pinterest.
- Searches for "snail mail gifts" rose 110% and "penpal ideas" rose 90%.
"Poetcore" is expected to surge with a 175% increase in "the poet aesthetic."
Travel: darecations & mystic outlands
- Thrill and adrenaline will define 2026 travel with increased interest in auto racing events, adventure tourism and football tournaments.
- Pinterest users are also eyeing "ethereal places" like the Scottish Highlands, Faroe Islands in the North Atlantic Ocean, Arashiyama Bamboo Forest in Japan and the Uyuni Salt Flat in Bolivia.
Food trends
Cabbage: Search interest rose in recipes for bok choy, cabbage dumplings, golumpki soup, cabbage alfredo and fermented cabbage.
- "The motto for 2026?" the report said. "Live, laugh, leaf."
Gummies: Gummies will influence beauty aesthetics, but health-boosting varieties like probiotic gummies could also be more popular on shelves.
