Glamorous black and white vintage photos of Miami Beach in the 90s

In a new book, British photographer and filmmaker Barry Lewis captures the energy and vibrancy of Miami Beach.

Through his photos, taken from 1988 to 1995, Lewis captures the iconic US city in all its many forms.

Featuring bodybuilders, Jehovah's Witnesses, fashionistas and drag queens, the black and white photos transport the viewer to a period when, after two decades of drugs and violence, the strip was coming back to life.
