Glasgow Subway reopens after blind man seriously injured while boarding train

Glasgow Subway has resumed service after trains were suspended when a blind man was seriously injured as he boarded a train.

The incident occurred just after noon today at Bridge Street Subway and is reported to have involved a blind man who was waiting at the platform with his guide dog.

Police Scotland , ambulances and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service were all in attendance at the incident and the man was rushed to hospital.

The condition of the man is currently unknown.

Subway bosses closed both circles of the route as a result on the incident.

Glasgow Subway have now confirmed that both circles have been reopened.
