Gladiators star Giant has spoken out about leaving the BBC show.
The former professional bodybuilder and firefighter, real name James Bigg, alleged that he left the series after telling bosses he planned to make his relationship with his girlfriend, an OnlyFans creator, public, leaving him with a choice that “did not align” with his values.
Bigg, who has been a regular fixture on the show since the reboot premiered in 2024, told Good Morning Britain: “I think it's very important that the fans of the show understand that Giant is a character on that show, and Jamie is a person that has a private relationship."
A spokesperson for the BBC and Hungry Bear, who produces the programme, told The Independent: “After three formidable series, Giant is leaving Gladiators. We’d like to thank him for everything he has contributed to the show and wish him well for the future.”
