Thai League 1 leaders Buriram United host bitter rivals Muang Thong United in a clash of two former champions on Sunday.
After nine games, Buriram have 22 points, seven ahead of fifth-placed Muang Thong.
Buriram have won five league matches in a row and also beat Phrae in the FA Cup in midweek.
Muang Thong boss Mario Gjurovski, who has faced the Thunder Castle on several occasions as player and coach, is determined to stop the opponents' winning run.
"We have respect for Buriram but I won't be happy if they get even a point from us," said Gjurovski.
"We will be happy to see them drop points. My focus is to beat them."
The Kirins warmed up for tomorrow's match with an easy win over Nakhonsi in the FA Cup in midweek.
Their strike force will be led by Brazilian Willian Popp, who is third in the scoring charts with six goals.
Buriram's attack will be spearheaded by Supachai Chaided, who has returned to form and who has netted five times this term.
In Saturday's action, new Chiangmai United coach Ailton Silva will begin his task of taking the team out of the relegation zone when they host champions Pathum United.
Ailton, who guided Chiang Rai United to the T1 title in 2019, started his Chiangmai reign with a big win in the FA Cup in midweek.
But he will surely face a much tougher assignment against the Rabbits, who welcome back defender Victor Cardozo from a long-term injury.
However, Brazilian striker Diogo Luis Santo is still recovering from an injury.
