Given up smoking? Health charity ASH wants to hear from you

People in West Lothian who have given up smoking in recent years are being encouraged by a health charity to share their experiences about how they have successfully managed to quit.

As part of ASH Scotland’s preparations for this year’s No Smoking Day on March 8, campaigners are urging people to get in touch and tell their stories of personal journeys to give up smoking, and highlight the types of support they found to be most useful.

Sheila Duffy, chief executive of ASH Scotland, explained: “Research shows that two thirds of adults in Scotland who smoke say they wish they had never started and want to quit.

“We’d love to hear everyone’s inspirational stories, which could spur others into following their journeys towards a life free from tobacco.
