A free newspaper has topped the readership polls in Spain. Entitled 20 Minutos, the paper is published by the Norwegian group, Schibsted, and it was the country's only paper to gain sales. Despite it being World Cup year, the sports paper Marca lost 104,000 readers. Two other frees, Que! and Metro Directo also reported losses. Spain's two most popular paid-for dailies, El Mundo and El Pais, both suffered reverses, with El Pais falling below the 2m mark for the first time in four audits. The other popular daily ABC lost more than 6% of its sales. (Via editorsweblog.org)
