Nottingham Forest fans have been having their say, after Kenny Burns claimed talks of a new deal for Sabri Lamouchi should be delayed.
Lamouchi has a 12-month deal at the City Ground and has quickly become a favourite on the terraces after guiding Forest to an impressive start to the Championship season.
But Burns believes that any discussion over a new deal should be held off until January at least.
“Sabri Lamouchi’s deal has been discussed in recent weeks, given the impressive way in which he’s adapted to life in English Football and at the City Ground, which is understandable," he said in his exclusive column.
“The Frenchman is only on a one-year deal at Forest and I’m sure both he and the club are relaxed about the situation while also being mindful about the future.
“There’s no need to rush into giving him a longer-term deal. After all, we’re only in November and while we’ve had a great start, little has been achieved yet in the context of getting promotion.”
