'Give him a lifetime contract!' Leeds United fans react as U23s book final place with dramatic victory

Leeds United's under-23s side sealed their place in the Professional Development League-National Final after they defeated Coventry City 3-2 after extra time at Elland Road on Monday night.

Carlos Corberan’s outfit needed an extra half-hour of play after a late equaliser for the visitors in the 90th minute forced the game into extra-time.

Kun Temenuzhkov continued his fine run of form with a sensational strike from outside the box to seal victory six minutes from the end and put the Whites into a major final.

United were the better side of the pair throughout and once again, their showcase for young talent drew praise over social media as fans celebrated their impressive achievement.

Leeds will face either Ipswich or Birmingham in the final, with the two set to play tonight at Portman Road.
