Giuffre’s Family Applauds Charities Cutting Ties with Sarah Ferguson Over Epstein Emails

The Epstein scandal is still sending shockwaves through the British royal family, and this time, Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, is in the spotlight. Multiple UK charities have cut ties with her after resurfaced emails revealed her past connection to Jeffrey Epstein. Now, the family of Virginia Giuffre, the woman who accused Prince Andrew of sexual assault, is applauding the move.

Giuffre, who alleged she was trafficked by Epstein to Prince Andrew when she was just 17, died earlier this year at the age of 41. Even after her passing, her family continues to fight for accountability. Speaking to The Times on September 24, her brothers, Sky Roberts and Daniel Wilson, praised the charities for stepping away from Ferguson.

“It is commendable that these seven charities have cut ties with Sarah Ferguson in light of her connections to Epstein,” they said. They also noted that the decision “sends a strong message about accountability and the need to confront those who support the horrific child trafficking network established by Epstein and Maxwell.”

Virginia Giuffre’s story has been at the center of the Epstein saga for years. She claimed that Epstein trafficked her to Prince Andrew, the younger brother of King Charles III, in 2001. Andrew has repeatedly denied her allegations but stepped away from public duties in 2019 after intense backlash. In 2022, he quietly settled Giuffre’s civil lawsuit for an undisclosed amount.

Although Ferguson and Andrew divorced back in 1996, the two have remained unusually close. They’ve often lived together and shared many of the same friends and associates, including Epstein. That relationship is now coming under fresh scrutiny thanks to a batch of old emails from 2011.

In those emails, Ferguson referred to Epstein as a “supreme friend” and even apologized for publicly cutting him off just weeks earlier. The revelations sparked outrage and led charities such as Julia’s House, the British Heart Foundation, and the Teenage Cancer Trust to sever their ties with her.

For Ferguson, this isn’t the first time Epstein’s name has dragged her into controversy. Years ago, she admitted to accepting money from him to help pay off personal debts. She later said it was a mistake, but the resurfaced emails suggest her connection to him was deeper than many realized.

The timing makes the fallout even more painful for Giuffre’s loved ones. Her death in April was ruled a suicide, and while she is no longer here to speak for herself, her family is determined to keep her fight for justice alive. Their statement shows that survivors’ families are still demanding consequences for those tied to Epstein’s circle.

While Prince Andrew and Ferguson have long tried to maintain some level of normalcy despite the scandals, the renewed attention on their Epstein ties has once again pulled them back into the public eye. The Giuffre family’s comments only add more weight to the pressure facing the Duke and Duchess’s reputations.

For now, Ferguson has lost support from some of the UK’s most respected charities, and the Epstein scandal remains far from over.
