GITEX Global 2025 draws record crowds to Dubai for 45th edition of tech show

More than 6,800 exhibitors from around the world came to Dubai for GITEX Global’s 45th edition, which focused on emerging technologies and AI.

Among some of the innovations was a new update to the Abu Dhabi government’s super app TAMM, being billed as the world's first AI public servant.

The AI-powered software can autonomously complete citizen transactions including license renewals, healthcare bookings, and utility payments.

“You never have to think about a government service again,” Director General of Abu Dhabi’s Department of Government Enablement Ruba Youssef Al Hassan told Euronews.

Also on the agenda was the world's largest gathering of startups and investors, North Star. This year's event attracted 2,000 startups and 1,200 investors from around 180 countries.

Already the largest technology and AI event in the world, GITEX Global plans to add new editions in India and Brazil in 2027, according to organisers.
