Supermodel Gisele Bündchen has paid tribute to the New England Patriots a day after her husband Tom Brady announced his departure from the team.

On Tuesday, Brady said he would be leaving his team of 20 years to pursue his career “elsewhere”. It was later reported that he had finalised an agreement to join the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Following the announcement, Bündchen reflected on the family’s time in Boston with a series of photographs of memorable moments.

“What a ride the last decade has been. Boston has been so good to us and will always be in our hearts. We will forever have wonderful memories,” the former Victoria’s Secret model wrote. “Our kids were born and raised there and we have made special friendships to last a lifetime. I’ll miss our friends, the beautiful change of seasons and the rides to the stadium to go cheer for Tom and the Pats.

The 39-year-old also shared her gratitude to everyone who supported her husband and their family.

“Thank you to everyone who has been so supportive of my husband and our family throughout all these years. We will miss you.”

In the post, Bündchen included photos from when she was pregnant, photos of the couple’s children, Benjamin, Vivian Lake and John Edward , and the family cheering Brady on during his games.

The supermodel also included photos of the changing seasons in Boston, before concluding with an illustration of the family of five.

“Well said!!! Football and Family,” Brady commented on the post.

Bündchen’s post comes after Brady shared a similar sentiment in his statement announcing his departure from the New England football team.

“I wanted to say thank you to all of the incredible fans and Patriots supporters,” the NFL quarterback wrote. “MA has been my home for twenty years. It has truly been the happiest two decades I could have envisioned in my life and I have nothing but love and gratitude for my time in New England.”
