Girls star Lena Dunham has revealed why she's in Wales all the time

Actress and writer Lena Dunham has finally revealed why she's spending so much time in Wales.

The creator and star of American comedy series Girls has announced that she is filming new HBO series Industry.

She will be directing and executive producing the new show, which is currently being produced in Cardiff.

The eight-part series will follow a group of twenty-somethings breaking into the world of international finance.

Independent production company Bad Wolf, based in south Wales, is also involved in the project.

The 33-year-old recently shared a naked Instagram post from a garden in Wales and back in March she was even spotted enjoying a trip to Caerphilly Castle.

She shared the news of the upcoming series on Instagram too, as she called Wales a "dreamy place with super sweet humans".

The actress wrote: "AHHHH! I'm so excited to announce I'm directing & executive producing a new series with HBO called INDUSTRY.

"It’s all about the cutthroat world of international finance. Think Wolf of Wall Street meets Melrose Place!

"I've moved across the pond for the summer to shoot this - specifically Wales UK - which is a dreamy place with fairytale gardens, super sweet humans, and dragon mythology.

"So taking reccs on secret spots, cuisine, you name it! Stay tuned for more!"
