Girls laugh as they punch and kick flailing autistic boy in sickening attack

Footage of students laughing as they hit a mentally disabled boy has caused outrage.

The clip shows two girls at Rowland High School in California trading blows with Seya Guerrero.

As he emits what appears to be anxious screams, Seya moves between the students.

He flaps his arms at them as they throw punches and kicks at his body.

At the end of the video, Seya leans over his knees in exhuastion.

The person behind the camera examines paper scattered across the floor and joins in with the group behind the lens who are laughing at him.

Rowland Unified School District spokeswoman Gina Ward said "immediate and firm disciplinary action" had been taken by the end of the school day, Mercury News reported.

“Rowland High School does not tolerate bullying and its presence on any school campus is unacceptable,” she said.

“As a school community, we will continue to support for our students in a strong anti-bullying stance and address the importance of students involving themselves to stop these types of actions from occurring.”

Seya, who has autism, is said to be in good health following the fight.

Students told KTLA that the girls involved had been suspended for five days, although the school would not confirm this.

Having quickly gained traction in the local community, the video inspired Kai Jimenez to start a fundraiser on behalf of her friend.

So far more than $3,000 (£2,432) has been donated, with part to be spent on a basket of goodies for Seya, part to put on an anti-bullying awareness event.

Kai said: "We want nothing but to cheer up Korvin and make him smile again."
