Girls Aloud's Kimberley Walsh says she won't have Botox injections over fears for kids

Girls Aloud 's Kimberley Walsh has said she doesn't have Botox injections due to fears for her children.

The mum-of-three said she has not had any work done so far but sometimes thinks she would have Botox but her children put her off.

The 41-year-old talked about social media making body image pressures worse and that she is happy she didn't have to go through that when she was first in the girl band.

Kimberley said she wouldn't get Botox because she has 'such an expressional face' and she wants her children to know how she's feeling.

The star has said she never ends up booking treatments even though she thinks about it.

Kimberley told New! magazine about how she feels about the way she looks.

She said: "I've still not had anything done. I feel like I need a bit of help now, but I'm really scared. I've got such an expressional face, every time I think, 'Oh, I do need a bit of Botox,' I never end up booking it because I don't want it to change my facial expressions. I want my kids to know when I'm mad!"

Kimberley went on to talk about her friend and fellow band member Sarah Harding passing away last year.

Sarah died last September, aged 39, just weeks after the singer had announced that she had been diagnosed with cancer.

Just over a year on, Kimberley said there can be 'triggers' anywhere that can spark her grief.

She said: "It can take me at any moment. There can be triggers everywhere. It's only been a year, so to us it still feels quite raw to be honest. The bets thing for me is having the three other girls that I know feel the same.

"We're just helping each other through it. Sarah had a wish to fund research that her doctor was working on so we said we'd do everything in our power to make that happen. We're throwing a fundraising event which is going to be an emotional night. That's taking all our focus."

The event is going to be held at The Londoner hotel on Saturday and will be hosted by Fearne Cotton.

However, Sarah's fellow Girls Aloud band members will not be performing at the charity gala.

The group has instead invited other artists to perform such as Years and Years singer and It's a Sin actor, Olly Alexander who is headlining the show.

This is as well as Kaiser Chiefs frontman and former The Voice judge Ricky Wilson who was a friend of Sarah and also starred in comedy film St. Trinian's alongside her.

Pop veteran Chrissie Hynde is also set to make an appearance on stage.
