Girlfriend says sorry to boyfriend in most Glaswegian way - with sausage supper apology note

A girlfriend has attempted to heal a rift with her boyfriend in the most Glaswegian of ways - with an apology note attached to a sausage supper.

McMonagle's Boat, the one-of-a-kind 'sail thru' chippy docked on the Forth & Clyde Canal at Clydebank, shared a snap of the takeaway order with a difference this afternoon, adding: 'Nothing says sorry like a sausage supper'.

The order, for a sausage supper, buttered roll, coleslaw and Monster energy drink, came complete with a heartfelt apology, with the girlfriend baring her soul after admitting she was in the wrong.

It read: "Contact-free delivery. Buying this for my boyfriend because I was a c*nt so trying to suck up and he's blocked me so can yous put a note in saying sorry and I love u and if he doesn't answer just leave it at the door thanks."

Posting an image of the receipt on Facebook, McMonagle's Boat added: "Nobody apologises better than the Scottish lol.

"Best delivery comment of the month."

And the romantic move has been met with rave reviews from fellow Glaswegians, with loved up guys and gals encouraging their other halves to apologise in similar fashion next time they fall out.

One user said: "if you’re ever doing this to get out the bad books, make sure it’s a chips, cheese n curry & a bottle of Irn Bru."

Another added: "I will accept a steak pie and an ice blast for future reference."

Meanwhile, one user brilliantly commented: "This is brilliant. If he doesn't forgive you after that feed he's no worth having. Get yourself a guy that appreciate a good feed".

We very much agree - it's time to forgive and forget and share that sausage supper..
