A teenage girl suffered serious injuries in a playground 'stunt' involving an electric scooter.
The 13-year-old was sat on a roundabout in the playground of Belle Vale Park when she was victim to a 'reckless' assault.
Police report that a teenage boy laid down an electric scooter next to the roundabout and turned it on, at around 1pm, on Thursday, September 9.

As a result, the roundabout spun at speed and the girl was thrown off. She suffered serious injuries to her wrist, elbow and fingers in the attack.
After the incident the suspect made off from the park. Police are yet to confirm any details or description of the boy.
Detectives are now appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have footage of the attack.
Detective Constable Steven McNally said: "This was a reckless stunt which resulted in serious injuries and a great deal of distress for the victim and her family.
"It is beyond belief that anyone would behave in such a manner, with no thought to the potentially catastrophic consequences.
"We're hopeful that anyone in the park who witnessed the incident comes forward with any information, CCTV or other footage which may assist.
"You may have seen a teenage boy in or close to Belle Vale Park that day, riding or pushing an electric scooter. Pass on what you know and we will take action."
