Girl, three, scarred for life after incident on bus

A three-year-old girl required hospital treatment for a head injury after a bus braked sharply, sending her crashing into the seats in front of her. Levaeha Mae Connolly, three, was helped by a nearby pharmacy before being taken to hospital to have her wound closed, reports MEN.

Mum Chloe Brown said: "Our three-year-old came flying off her seat as we was sat in the front with my husband and her baby sister. She hit her head on the folding down chairs seat and it sliced her head.

"We got off the bus because our daughter was bleeding. We ran to the nearest chemist who gave us a bandage until we got to the hospital."

Levaeha was taken to hospital to have her wound glued and is now unable to attend nursery, her mum said.

"She was crying very loudly and couldn’t settle at first. She was scared about going to the hospital," Chloe added. "Our child is going to be scarred for life and is unable to attend nursery."

A spokesperson for Diamond North West said: "We are aware of the incident that occurred yesterday on one of our services. We are currently conducting an internal investigation around this incident and therefore unable to comment any further at this moment in time."

The incident happened in Salford.
