A three-year-old girl has died after a collision with a van on a cul-de-sac in Wiltshire.
Officers were called to Campion Close in Calne at around midday on Wednesday.
The girl was pronounced dead at the scene and her family is being supported by Wiltshire Police.
The driver of the van remained at the scene and is helping police with their investigation, and no arrests have been made.
Inspector James Brain, from the Chippenham Area Community Policing Team, said: “This is a tragic incident and our thoughts are with the girl’s family at this incredibly difficult time.
“Our investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident is at a very early stage and we won’t be providing any further update at the moment.”
