A Los Angeles-based Target shopper confronts a man whom she believes followed her in the store. Others report experiencing the same situation with the same man.
In a video with over 2.2 million views, TikToker Aralennovi (@vonnylowks) films a man wearing a white ball cap in the women’s clothing section.
“Why are you following me?” she asks. The man responds that he was not following her.
“I recognize you from the other day. You asked me for my name. And right now you’re following me,” she says. “I just saw you. You’re following me. I saw you peeking through right there.”
The man clarifies that he’s waiting for a call.
Aralennovi tells him she “doesn’t want to see” him again before walking off.
Was he following her in Target?
Some viewers suggest that the man could have been a part of Target’s loss prevention team as a secret shopper. On the r/lossprevention subreddit, other shoppers say they’ve been followed by security workers while shopping at the retailer. However, many report that the loss prevention workers wear a Target uniform.
The TikToker clarifies that she spoke to security, who confirmed he was not.
In the caption, she writes, “I spoke to security upfront, and he came up and tried convincing me that he wasn’t following me. But I said again, ‘But you did see me a few days ago,’ and he admitted [it].”
She continues in a comment that Target security looked at the camera footage and suggested that she report the incident to the police. She says they removed the man from the store after she reported feeling uncomfortable.

In the comments, other women in Los Angeles say they recognize the man.
“Omg!!!! He followed me yesterday from Whole Foods to the parking lot !!!!” one claims.
“My daughter was pumping gas the other day, and she said she felt he was following her when she went into the station. She says it’s definitely him,” another writes.
“Omg I seen him in downtown today talking to a girl,” a third adds.
In a comment reply, Aralennovi says, “He followed me around downtown around the bus station 3 days ago I take the same route from work around certain times and this is why I take off my uniform when I get off work (I work for the city).”
Others praise the TikToker for calling out the man.
