A young girl was sexually assaulted at Castle Green in Dundee.
Cops have launched an investigation into the sex attack after receiving a report that a girl had been attacked in Broughty Ferry on Saturday night.
Local residents reported seeing a police presence at Castle Green, with the area beside the harbour and the toilets reportedly cordoned off.
Enquiries are currently ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Officers are investigating a report that a young girl was the victim of a sexual assault in the area of Castle Green, Broughty Ferry, during the evening of Saturday, 10 July, 2021.
"Enquiries remain ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the incident.”
