A woman has claimed a beautician left her with horrific burns down her legs after spilling boiling wax on her during a routine treatment.
Badesim Kubak, who is from Turkey but now lives New York, said she wanted her legs waxed for a concert, as her culture frowns on shaving.
But what should have been an easy appointment caused her to need three weeks of medical treatments for the burns left by the wax.
In a TikTok she wrote: "Starting with waxing my legs, it's painful but I can take it.
"While the lady is applying the wax to my inner thighs, the lid of the applicator comes off and boiling wax spills all over between my legs."
She added the wax spilled just inches from her vagina, and she started screaming and crying from the excruciating pain.
But instead of stopping the treatment to see if she was ok, or check what she had done, Badesim claims the beautician told her she was "making a big deal out of it", and told her everything was ok.
"She rips the wax off me to stop it from burning my skin, while telling me it is seriously nothing," Badesim continued.
'She puts MOISTURISER and PAPER TOWELS on my burn and tells me she is done. I am super embarrassed that everyone else in the salon heard me scream and cry.'
Without knowing what else to do, Badesim paid full price for her botched wax and went back to school, where a nurse tried to help as best they could.
But the following morning it became clear the situation was more serious than initially thought, and was far more serious than the beautician said it would be.
"Next morning I wake up with insane pain, my leg is still wrapped up," she continued.
"My parents take me to my uncle who is a plastic surgeon to check it out."

"Once the bandages came off the full extent of the injury became clear."
She shared a picture of the injuries she received, showing the horrendous burn down her thigh.
The video has since had over 2.1 million views, and Badesim filmed a "part two" video to answer questions about the incident asked by her horrified followers.
In it she said: "My family and I were very shocked to see what was underneath the bandages, we were not expecting that at all.

"My uncle was surprised that I didn't pass out from pain but I guess that was because she kept telling me I was making a big deal out of it, so I kind of just sucked it up.
"The following two-three weeks I had to go to my uncle's clinic every single day because if a burn like that gets infected it could end up horrible.
"I couldn't walk properly for a while either because just putting pressure on that leg hurt."
In another follow up video Badesim said her leg had healed nicely, and you could only see what had happened if you looked very closely.
She also explained why she decided not to sue the beautician - but added she regrets not taking action at the time.
Badesim also revealed the salon she went to closed only two months after her incident, although she did not find out why.
"My family asked me if I wanted to sue and they said they would respect my decision and me being 15, I feel like I was very naïve," she explained.
"I knew that the lady who was waxing me had a young daughter and I didn't want her to suffer because of her mum's mistakes.
"But now looking back at it, that's not how it works and I should have sued. Not even because of the fact that she burned me but because of the fact that she made a 15-year-old girl feel like she was making a big deal and that she was guilty for being in pain."
