A girl's tweet about her nightmare flight realisation as she was on a bus to catch a plane at Dublin Airport from Cork has gone viral.
The girl boarded the early morning 6am bus only to realise every holidaygoers worst fear - her flight wasn't that day.
It transpired that she was going to be a good day early for the trip, Dublin Live reports.
She said: "If you feel dumb today just remember I just got a 6am bus from Cork to Dublin Airport to find out there that my flight is tomorrow."
Her foolish mistake started circulating widely on Twitter receiving thousands of reactions.
Her shock realisation led to a lot of people sharing their experiences of their horrible mix-ups too.
One person said: "I once got on the wrong flight, my name was called out on the plane by a guy in a yellow vest and clipboard .... walk of shame down the aisle."
Another added: "It's not quite the same but last week my husband and I drove 40 minutes to pick up our other car that we responsibly left parked up the night before, grabbed a bit of shopping while we were out, and came home without the car."
But the worst of all was this commenter who said: "A few years ago, I turned up for a flight from Geneva to Dublin only to find that I’d booked the flight from Dublin to Geneva. Now, *that* was a stupid and expensive mistake!"
The girl did admit that she eventually boarded the flight and thanked everyone for their "pity on my foolishness, I didn't deserve it".
