Girl's horror injuries after 'McDonald's filled flask up with scalding water'

These are the horror injuries suffered by a four-year-old girl after McDonald's staff allegedly filled up her flask with scalding water.

Emily Dolbeer and her daughter Lainey were on their way to Disneyland on Friday to celebrate the youngster's birthday, and the trip had been planned for months.

The mum said she asked workers at the McDonald's branch in Portland International Airport, Oregon, to fill up her daughter Lainey's bottle with cold water while they were at the restaurant for breakfast.

She claims the employee even asked if they wanted ice, to which she said they did, Katu reports.

But just a few moments later, she said her daughter started "screaming bloody murder".

Emily says little Lainey burned her mouth, lip and chin as the water turned out to be hot.

Now the mum - who says the incident ruined their trip to Disneyland - says she wants answers as to how this happened.

She said she didn't see steam coming out of the water and hadn't questioned it.

Lainey now has blisters on her lip and inside her mouth and has to wear a plaster over her chin.

"These are special moments, this is her first time to Disneyland," Emily said.

"All the pictures that we're taking, all the princess makeovers that she'll forever look at, she'll have a Band-Aid over her chin.

"So this is something she'll always remember, unfortunately."

The mother said she received an apology from the owner.

Mike Kennedy, Owner and Operator of the airport's McDonald's, told Mirror Online: "The safety of our guests and crew are our top priority.

"We are taking this claim very seriously and investigating this matter."
