Girl rushed to hospital after being hit by bus

A girl was rushed to hospital after being hit by a bus in Bolton.

Police were called to reports of a crash involving a bus and a pedestrian just after 3.15pm on Friday (January 21).

The incident happened on Turton Road.

Emergency services were called to the scene and the pedestrian, a girl, was taken to hospital.

Her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, a spokesman for GMP said.

Enquiries are currently ongoing and no arrests have been made.

In a statement, police said: “Police were called shortly after 3:15pm today to a report of a collision involving a pedestrian and a bus on Turton Road in Bolton.

“Emergency services attended and the pedestrian, a girl, was taken to hospital with injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening.

“Enquiries are ongoing and no arrests have been made.”
