A "disgusted" mum has apologised on Facebook after her daughter was pictured stealing a whole bowl of Halloween sweets left outside a home.
The mum took to social media when she spotted her teen daughter on a Facebook post where the home owner was complaining that all the sweets had been taken.
The woman had left a note with the Halloween treats saying that people were welcome to take one, reported the Liverpool Echo.
She said it was "shameful" that the girl had then taken them all.
The note outside the home said: "We have a little monster all tucked up in bed so please don't knock on the door but take a treat instead. Happy Halloween."

The homeowner's post on Facebook then said: "How shameful! Put a big tub of sweets outside with this note.
"This person has just come, taken them all! First person to come down the drive. Now all of the poor kids since her have been disappointed!! Shameful."
The post, shared in a local Facebook group, was initially posted with a picture of the note and a picture from a video that captured the girl who stole the sweets.
The picture was taken down when the parents of the girl both commented apologising for their daughter.
One of the parents said: "This is my step daughter and I’m so incredibly angry she’s done this!
"Her mum is on the phone to her as we speak making sure she gets her thieving a** home!
"I’m very very sorry and apologise on her behalf. She was brought up better than this!"
Her other parent commented: "I'm disgusted and so so sorry she's done this, she's been brought up better than this.
"Pm me your address and I'll make sure to send sweets back round. She will be punished don't worry about that safe to say she's grounded xx."
