Girl Online by Zoe Sugg - review

As I’m a big fan of Zoe (aka Zoella) I was looking forward to reading her very first novel. Girl Online is about a girl called Penny, who is having a hard time at school and at home too, but is whisked away to New York with her family and best friend over Christmas. There she meets a charming boy called Noah whom she instantly falls in love with. It’s even better when Penny finds that her and her family will be staying with Noah and his family for Christmas.

I’m not really a huge fan of romance, but this book isn’t just about that. It’s more about lifestyle, as she suffers with anxiety, friendship, school and her blog. Anonymously, she creates a blog where she shares her feelings about things that may come across as a problem. But Noah has a secret too. One that could ruin their relationship.

Girl Online

I really enjoyed this book and I knew it would be great from the minute I started reading it. My favourite character is Penny’s best friend Elliot, who stuck by her and is her only true friend. I definitely recommend this book to people who understand what it’s like to be a real teenage girl, and understand all their problems. My favourite part of the book is the ending, because it’s something that you wouldn’t really expect and leaves you wanting to read on and on throughout the whole book. I am very excited to hear that Zoe is bringing out Girl Online Two!
