LUCKNOW: A 7-year-old girl studying in UKG has stopped going to school for the last one week, after she was allegedly slapped multiple times by her teacher in a private school, leading to mental trauma, which the kid has failed to overcome.
The victim is a resident of Sundar Nagar, Alambagh. A video of the traumatized girl went viral on Friday, in which her parents were seen trying to help the her regain consciousness.
Speaking to TOI, the victim's father said, "My daughter was assaulted multiple times by a teacher on May 11. When my elder daughter, who also studies in the same school, confronted the principal, she asked the duo to bug off and attend classes."
"Later after the school was over, my wife saw our daughter on her desk with her head down. She informed her that the teacher thrashed her, but no one extended any help. Later, on May 12 morning, when my wife confronted the school administration for the assault, she was humiliated and asked to leave the premises," said the girl's father, whose three daughters' study in Alambagh based school.
The local Krishna Nagar police lodged a non-cognizable report under IPC 323 and 504 on May 18 that is Thursday.
"When we threatened to file an FIR, the school administration started pressurizing us and attempted to delay our FIR, so that medical examination does not reveal any kind of injury on my daughter’s body. She has been in trauma for days now and has refused to attend school. Due to fear my other two daughters have also stopped going to school," he added.
