Girl in hospital after being knocked off bike on main road

A teenage girl is in hospital after being knocked off her bike by a car on a main road.

Emergency services closed part of Princess Road in Hulme earlier today after the incident.

The road was closed between Greenheys Lane and Moss Lane East from around 2.30pm.

Traffic feeds at the time said that motorists were queueing in the area after a 'police incident'.

A spokesperson for the North West Ambulance Service confirmed that a teenage girl was taken to hospital.

She collided with a car out riding her bike.

The road has since reopened.

It is not known what condition she is in.
