BBC Ambulance viewers were quick to praise a little girl as she called an ambulance for her mum.

The episode saw call handler Ellie talk to Jasmin, as she tried to get help from her mum.

Jasmin said: "I'm Jasmin, I'm a kid, I'm five."

Ellie asked if she was on her own and Jasmin said: "It's just me with mummy, mummy's very sick."

Ellie asked Jasmin if she could go next door and knock on a neighbour's door.

Jasmin said: "No I can't because I'm little, please can you hurry up and come."

Jasmin then heard a commotion outside and Ellie asked her to go to the door and let the paramedics in.

She took the phone with her and opened the door, making sure her mum got the help she needed.

After she got off the call with Jasmin Ellie was visibly upset and her colleagues were amazed at how articulate the little girl was.

Viewers at home were also stunned at Jasmin's phone call and many of them took to social media to praise her.

Jodi said: "Aww Jasmin what a brave little girl. A 5 year old knowing to call 999 and helping her Mummy. What a little superhero."

Lorraine said: "Oh Jasmin. You're a little darling. What a brave brave little girl. Hope mummy is ok."

Kay said: "Oh Jasmin, such a brave little girl."

Jenny said: "Such a brave girl, wow, well done Jasmin."
