IDUKKI: Jovitta, 18, daughter of Kunnath Paulose of Kanchiyar in Kattappana died after falling from a bicycle at on Monday. She had lost control on a slope while cycling near her house and fell on the roadside on Saturday noon, said Kattappana police.
She suffered serious head injuries and was first rushed to Kattappana taluk hospital and later to a private hospital at Kattappana. However, her life could not be saved.
The funeral will be held at St Joseph Church, Pezhumkandam in Kanchiyar, on Tuesday. Jovitta is survived by her father, mother Jancy and brothers Joji and Joby. Jovitta was a German language student at a private institute at Thellakom in Kottayam. tnn
