Matthew Whittet and Rosemary Meyers’ collaboration about being lost in the jungle of teenagerdom – and coming out the other side – comes to the Belvoir stage. Greta is about to turn 15, and her mother is set on throwing her a party – one with a pretty dress and mini quiches. Greta would rather be anywhere else.
She soon finds herself in a strange dreamscape that transforms the weird hypocrisy of the adult world into something absurdly beautiful. The bitchy twins who make school miserable, her almost too-romantic imaginary boyfriend and her hyperventilating parents all crop up in her subconscious.
It’s a gaudy and gawky rite-of-passage story with Eamon Farren and Amber McMahon leading the cast.
