A 'beautiful' mum has died and her daughter is fighting for her life following a devastating car crash.
Chloe Lloyd was pronounced dead at the scene after her car crashed into a ditch in Poole, Dorset at around 8.50pm on Friday night.
Her daughter Lexi was airlifted to Southampton General Hospital and is in a critical condition.
Members of the eight-year-old's family are at her bedside.
A statement from the family said: "We are all absolutely heartbroken at the sudden loss of our beautiful Chloe and our sole focus at this time is to be with Lexi.
"We would ask for privacy at this very difficult time."
Sergeant Sarah Jones, from Dorset Police, urged any witness of the crash on the westbound carriageway of the A35 Upton Bypass to come forward.
She said: "Our thoughts are with their family at this very difficult time.
"We are carrying out a full and thorough investigation into this collision and I am keen to hear from anyone who was travelling along this stretch of the dual carriageway at the relevant time and witnessed the collision or the Astra being driven immediately before."
